Cats are at greater risk of having asthma than dogs. In fact, 1 in 100 cats have asthma. Asthma generally affects cats between 2-8 years old, with Siamese and Himalayan breeds at highest risk. But smaller dogs are more likely to have asthma than bigger dogs!
The canine flu is still around and it is highly contagious. A study found that the canine flu virus can be shed to other dogs for up to 24 days after testing positive for the virus.
We recommend vaccinating your pet against the canine flu.
Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease spread by water, wet soil, or snow contaminated with urine from an infected animal.
A brief bathroom break outside may be enough to expose dogs to this potentially damaging infection of the kidney or liver.
We have a vaccine for dogs to prevent this serious disease.
Call us for more details.
